Summer Scholars Program

"I loved earning six college credits and gaining valuable time management skills. I had an amazing time, and I know others will too."

Thank you for your interest in the Summer Scholars Program.

College for high school students

The University of Miami Summer Scholars Program (SSP) provides an exciting opportunity for current high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to explore their academic passions while diving into the college experience delivered in a synchronous and remote format.

Many high school students are unclear about which colleges to apply to, let alone what major to pursue. Choosing a pre-college summer program, like the Summer Scholars Program, allows students to sort through possible majors, colleges, and career opportunities. The program offers two options, the three-week, credit-bearing program, and the two-week, non-credit UM Academies. Both options enable students to concentrate on the subject area they are most interested in and develop friendships with other high-achieving high school students worldwide.
