Pre-College at the University of Miami provides an exciting opportunity for current high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to explore their academic passions while diving into the college experience and campus life.
Many high school students are anxious or unsure about which colleges to apply to, let alone what major to pursue. Participating in a Pre-College summer program, like the Summer Scholars Program or UM Academies, allows students to try out possible majors and career paths. We offer two options to fit the needs of your high schooler: the three-week, credit-bearing Summer Scholars Program or the two-week, non-credit UM Academies. Both experiences enable students to concentrate on the subject area they are most interested in and develop friendships with other high-achieving high school students worldwide.
This program is offered through the Division of Continuing and International Education at the University of Miami. The Division aims to empower people to reach their full potential through lifelong and lifewide learning. With more than 70 credit and non-credit programs available, the Division focuses on creating continuous learning experiences that transform individuals, organizations, and entire communities. For more information, visit dcie.miami.edu and connect with the Division on Facebook and Twitter.
