Summer Scholars Program

Summer Scholars Program

"I loved earning six college credits and gaining valuable time management skills. I had an amazing time, and I know others will too."

Michael D., Summer Scholars Graduate from Illinois

College for high school students

Precollege at the University of Miami provides an exciting opportunity for current high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to explore their academic passions while diving into the college experience and campus life.

Many high school students are anxious or unsure about which colleges to apply to, let alone what major to pursue. Participating in a Precollege summer program, like the Summer Scholars Program or UM Academies, allows students to try out possible majors and career paths. We offer two options to fit the needs of your high schooler: the three-week, credit-bearing Summer Scholars Program or the two-week, non-credit UM Academies. Both experiences enable students to concentrate on the subject area they are most interested in and develop friendships with other high-achieving high school students worldwide.
